In January, 2011 I was in the comforts of my own home, exploring and experimenting with my new toy The Kindle, and stumbled upon this book entitled ‘Let ME Protect You‘. I wasn’t familiar with the author, in fact, this was the beginning of my new found journey into authorship. So being the avid reader that I am, I purchased this book…it was number twenty on my list. At the time I shared an amazon account with my daughter, who actually bought the Kindle and all the accessories, WHO told me, if you see any books you like, go ahead and order them. She at the time did not put a spending cap on that statement, and so without further ado, I clicked away. Fast forward–January, 2015…here we are again, same book—same author… But this time we are no strangers to one another. I introduce to some and present to others… Author Jessica Cage.
Find out more about her at the following…
Born and raised in Chicago, IL, writing has always been a passion for Jessica Cage. She dabbles in artistic creations of all sorts but at the end of the day, it’s the pen that her hand itches to hold. Jessica had never considered following her dream to be a writer because she was told far too often “There is no money in writing.” So she chose the path most often traveled. Working at her day job in a law office, she looked at her two year old son and asked herself, how would she be able to inspire him to follow his dreams, reach for the stars, if she never had the guts to do it herself. Jessica decided to take a risk and unleash the plethora of characters and their crazy adventurous worlds that had previously existed only in her mind, into the realm of readers. She did this with hopes to inspire not only her son but herself. Inviting the world to tag along on her journey to become the writer she has always wanted to be. Recently Jessica discovered a new passion in encouraging youth to follow their dreams and explore creative passions. It is no secret that programs are dwindling that help to support the development of artistic passion. It is her hope to be able to create an avenue to help fill this void. It is the realization that Jessica’s journey is not all about herself, but about others as well, that helps to not only fuel her writing but to keep her moving forward.
